Linux
Linux, ou GNU/Linux, est un système d’exploitation compatible POSIX. Linux est basé sur le noyau Linux, un logiciel libre créé en 1991 par Linus Torvalds sur un ordinateur compatible PC.
Développé sur Internet par des milliers d’informaticiens souvent bénévoles, Linux fonctionne maintenant sur du matériel allant du modem au superordinateur. Il existe de nombreuses distributions Linux indépendantes, destinées aux ordinateurs personnels et serveurs informatiques, pour lesquels Linux est très populaire. Elles incluent des milliers de logiciels, notamment ceux du projet GNU, d’où la dénomination GNU/Linux. Linux est également populaire sur système embarqué. La mascotte de Linux est le manchot Tux.

I have a wonderful redhat 9 gateway/server/firewall on a 24/7 ADSL
connection, it has 3 FQDNs on it and I made a few accounts for my friends
to use so that their /public_html directories can be used for a web host. I
use apache and have userdirs turned on and used the httpd.conf file to add
virtual hosts for the FQDNs. Some of these accounts seem to be unused for a

- HP DL380 / SLES 8 and cpu usage bug?
I have installed SLES 8 on a new HP DL380 G4 with 2 x 3.6GHz cpus and
with the machine just sitting there doing nothing it show ~75% cpu
usage on one of the virtual HT cpus (cpu 1 or cpu 3).
We have tried kernel 2.4.21-251-smp and 2.4.21-261-smp with the cciss
driver from HP and both kernels show this behavior. We are also seeing- Mail Server / MX record
I have only 1 Exchange Server and 1 MX record, but I would like to have a
backup if the Exchange 2003 ever goes down, I still want users to be able to
send and receive mail (even if their primary mailbox is down).
Is this doable if so how? Keep in mind, we do not have the resources to
cluster, and we prefer not to outsource this. We were thinking of using a- Clone redhat 9 to larger disk; part 3, Eureka!

I have the new 80Gb drive installed in the machine, used Ghost 8.0 to
copy the 27Gb original hard drive to the new 80Gb hard drive. The drive

Hi,
I recently installed Fedora Core 3 on my laptop. Whenever I try to
compile a C/C++ program I keep getting the following error:
bash: gcc: command not found
I am guessing either gcc/g++ is not installed or some settings aren't
right. In either case I would greatly appreciate any advice as to what
